Key Advantages & Features
- Ultra-High Sensitivity: Detect OPRM1 levels as low as < 1.0 pg/mL, enabling the study of low-abundance targets in complex samples.
- Wide & Precise Detection Range: Achieve accurate quantification across a broad 1.0 pg/mL to 400 pg/mL dynamic range with excellent linearity.
- Exceptional Specificity: Developed with highly specific antibodies to ensure minimal cross-reactivity with other soluble structurally similar molecules.
- Proven Reproducibility: Low intra- and inter-assay coefficients of variation (<15%) guarantee consistent and reliable results across plates and batches.
- Unbeatable Value: Obtain high-quality data without the high cost through our competitive bulk pricing (under $100 per kit).
- Flexible Service Options: Beyond purchasing the kit, we offer a comprehensive custom ELISA development service and a complimentary sample testing option to validate your findings.
Assay Principle: One-Step Sandwich ELISA
This kit utilizes a sensitive and efficient one-step sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of Human OPRM1:
- Capture: Microplate wells are pre-coated with an antibody specific to the Mu-type Opioid Receptor (OPRM1).
- Simultaneous Binding: Samples, standards, and the HRP-conjugated detection antibody are added simultaneously to the wells. The target OPRM1 is “sandwiched” between the immobilized capture antibody and the enzyme-linked detection antibody in a single incubation step.
- Signal Development: After washing to remove unbound substances, a TMB substrate solution is added. The horseradish peroxidase (HRP) catalyzes the conversion of TMB into a blue-colored product.
- Measurement & Analysis: The reaction is stopped with an acid solution, turning the final product yellow. The absorbance (Optical Density, OD) is measured at 450 nm. The intensity of the color is directly proportional to the concentration of OPRM1 present in the original sample.
